Blackdog C5/C6 Performance differential service

Few modifications give you the real world performance improvement that a lower ratio differential gear set will.  Available in 3.42, 3.73, 3.90, and 4.10 ratios for all 3.xx series cars.  We also offer a 3.90 upgrade for factory automatic cars, equipped with 2.73 rear gear.

Stage 1 includes new, REM finished⁺ ring and pinion set, as well as all new bearings, seals, and fluids.  $2200 installed.

Stage 2* adds hardened left side differential output shaft (this is longer of the two output shafts, and is usually first to break).  $2500 installed.

Stage 3* adds hardened right side axle shaft and gear. $3100 installed

*Applicable to C5 and C6 non-Z06 differentials.  Z06 differentials already have hardened shafts.

Road Race Upgrade-- We also offer a Quaife Torque Biasing carrier upgrade to all of the above.  Like regular ‘limited slip’ carriers, the Quaife ensures that both wheels are driven equally, except on cornering, where it sends 80% of the power to the outside wheel, cutting inside wheel spin, and allowing for more power, and higher exit speeds.  Add $1500 to any stage above.

⁺ REM Finishing is a mechanical / chemical process goes beyond normal polishing, and leaves behind a microfinished, chrome like surface. This reduces friction and heat, thereby increasing practical HP and longevity.
